Why is it still so hard for many evangelicals to condemn the unrepentant abuse of fellow citizens?

Updated: Oct 18, 2020

This is not normal politics. This is straight up evil, and it will get people killed.

THIS is persecution.

My logical conclusion if you support Trump despite it, if you refuse to call it out as a Christian, is that you support the harassment I have personally experienced on some level.

Evangelicals should not have a hard time condemning evil publicly and policing their own. No Christian should think this is something that can be ignored and dismissed. Every American should be united in holding this evil man accountable for his ongoing abuse. I won't worship with Trumpists; this sickness right here is why. Y'all need Jesus. I'm good.

81% evangelicals are just fine with a leader who abuses, they are clearly fine with inciting rape and death threats, civil war fear mongering and ongoing intimidation of the electorate.

By the way, historically speaking, it is only Fascists and Nazis who demonize Antifascists.

Christians oppose violence; they do not blame the victim.

Hitler did exactly what Trump does: he called out the Communists to promote his evil.

The evangelical Christians in this country, circa 2020, are aligning with the literal Nazis.

I am daily disgusted. Four years of this hell, and there are still "Christians" who don't care.
