Roots
Melody's writing took off around 2010 at the birth of her first child. As a military spouse caring for a new baby, blogging became a way to work out some of the issues of faith and culture and begin to develop her ideas, leading into her first book.
Melody was born in a little town called Dover, Ohio, in the United States. Growing up in the UK as an American missionary kid, she was homeschooled, then educated in the UK, beginning her career as a teacher. As a military spouse, she has taught French in Texas. Here is her post: "I was a stranger too."

A well-read Educator
BA French and German (Honors) with European Studies, MA Strategic Communications
Due to anti-immigrant rhetoric she observed and experienced online from evangelical Christians leading up to the 2016 election, Melody published a short memoir attempting to raise awareness of abuses in the evangelical world in which she grew up. Her second book dealt with erroneous beliefs and bad ideas in evangelicalism.
As an experienced French teacher, Melody has tutored students of all ages, including adults, and she teaches in the classroom from elementary to high school. Given the concerning book bans in southern states, her priority is building up her home library and learning more about the world.
