ICYMI, I shared some thoughts the other day about this silly idea we Christians should all be united and stay silent about abuse ("don't be political"), not to mention this unwritten rule among a majority of American evangelicals that "true" Christians must vote Republican.
What needs to happen instead is that all those extremists who are overtly or tacitly participating in the abuse need to be held responsible for not listening to the concerns of their more moderate neighbors.
Right now, the most dangerous extremists are on the right.
And historically, the Far Right has always been anti-freedom, brutal, a menace to freedom.
This reality remains to this day.
Recently, I had a bit more to share on differences between persecution and being marginalized by society as a righteous response to unrepentant abuse. More, here.
PS- You cannot complain about being held responsible for your "pro-life vote" when it ends in death of this horrifying and grievous magnitude.
To Trump supporters: Are you prepared to own all the harm that he has done?
Stop deflecting. We are over it. Shame on you all.
