So here's my email to John Cornyn. Only heading I could use was "abortion":
What good is a pro-life position if you do not uphold justice? What is the point of your leadership if you prop up a president who calls for violent protestors to come to our nation's capitol? As my Senator, you have rarely represented me on any moral level. You have a responsibility to impeach this rogue president for abuse of power. He cannot force a governor of any political stripe to magically produce votes to keep him in power. What kind of pro-life ethic does the GOP have, to want four more years of this hell on earth? You must represent your constituents by impeaching Trump now. You must also censure Ted Cruz. This is a total disgrace and Texas looks like a corrupt joke. You have major responsibility here [to] show courage.
A reminder Trump's supporters have issued death threats to elected GOP officials for doing what is ethical, moral and constitutionally sound, and that Trump has invited violent protestors to DC Wednesday. To demand four more years of this abusive hell is sociopathic.
This is a very serious abuse of power, and it honestly reminds me of dealing with my dad. When you tell a bully they can't have it their way and they push and push, that's immaturity. But that level of immaturity is immensely dangerous in a position of power. It's absolutely unacceptable, legal or not. And it was a moral imperative to release this audio, legal or not.
Can you imagine if Trump had been dealing with less ethical leaders here? If they had "just given him the votes"? Come on, Republicans, who's really trying to steal an election here?!
Legalities aside, Trump is an abuser. I am sickened at how many Americans think that's ok.
