Trauma Takes Time To Heal

The events of January 6th were so overwhelming it will take years for me to fully recover from the knowledge many of my fellow Americans cannot be trusted to value human life nor respect historic buildings. It is worse to contemplate that many of my fellow Christians minimized this and everything leading up to this. It is painful to know many Texans among whom I live have no love for country beyond their Texan subculture. That is not patriotism.
